Supervision and Mentoring

Our Principal Psychologist, Amanda Welschbillig, is a current Mentor with the Curtin University Mentor Program and a AHPRA Board Approved Generalist Psychologist Supervisor. As a graduate she found it very difficult to locate a suitably qualified and competent supervisor in order to gain her Registration as a Psychologist. Employers seemed unwilling to foot the bill although wanted the qualification, and availability of reasonably priced supervisors seemed scarce. Fortunately, she did find a supervisor who was not only professional, highly skilled and a great teacher; but also believed that training new entrants in the field was her responsibility to the profession.
