B Psych B Sc (Psych) Assoc MAPS Amanda uses short term goal focused talk therapies; empowering you with the skills and knowledge needed to maintain the gains made during counselling. As well as this she strongly encourages and assists you to develop your own supports to enhance this process. Therapy styles utilised include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Jungian, Interpersonal models, Mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing and Solution Focused approaches. She is also an accredited provider of the Flinders Model of Chronic Disease Self Management and a Resilience Doughnut accredited trainer. Continually undertaking professional development to ensure the currency and breadth of her skills, she is also Coordinator of the Mundaring Division of the Mental Health Professionals Network, member of The Hills Peer Supervision Group and a Mentor within the Curtin University Careers Mentor Program. She regularly attends Swan and Surrounding Suburbs Youth services meetings, Mundaring Peak Body for Youth committee meetings, and Mental Health Professionals Network events with the Kalamunda and Midland Divisions. |
